"Katharina is a great translator and is very easy to collaborate with. She handles a variety of tasks, provides a lot of insight and always delivers on time."
- Liam Clowes, Localisation Lead at GoStudent
"Katharina was a brilliant help when it came to translating my marketing materials into German and reviewing my website. She was very diligent in carrying out multiple proofreads when I made changes to the source text and came up with wonderfully creative linguistic solutions. Her excellent eye for detail was invaluable when reviewing the German content of my website and she managed to discover broken links as well as typos. I look forward to working with her again!"
- Dorothy Schaps, Freelance Translator DE>EN
Immer wieder gerne! :)"
- Nicola Boyne and Ulrike Haas, Founders of the publishing house ulila Verlag

"Katharina is a talented translator with a deep passion for languages. We worked together in a team that focused on demanding clients, often with very quick turnaround times, and her proactive and collaborative approach made a significant contribution. She is not afraid to face creative challenges and does so with dedication, accuracy and a great sense of humour. I definitely recommend her."
- Francesca Bellan, Senior Translator at Alpha CRC
"I worked with Katharina on several occasions, even though we were in different teams. When I needed review and implementation jobs done for a big client, she stepped in and helped, working under time pressure and high quality expectations. She was always attentive to details and very thorough, completing the tasks as expected and autonomously. Very good linguist!"
- Zuzanna Mokwa, former Project Manager at Alpha CRC
"I have worked with Katharina as a German instructor for three months. In that short time, she has proved herself to be a talented teacher, a very diligent and communicative colleague, and someone who handles challenges and unusual situations with great aplomb. She is warm, personable, adaptable, and positive. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with her, and I would highly recommend her in all situations."

Applied Intercultural Linguistics
That is the name of my degree. It helped me develop my innate talent for languages even further by going far beyond the grammatically correct application of a language. Intercultural communication, language acquisition, cultural studies and many other subjects came together to build the foundation for my work as a translator.
This innovative translation platform gave me a chance to explore a variety of different areas. Here, while working on a press release about the tomato of the year one day and an historical novel about the life of Winston Churchill the next, my passion for translation grew from a spark to a flame.
As part of this international translation agency, I was responsible for several important and renowned regular clients with focus on fashion, music and lifestyle. My team helped with any translation needs they had, from subtitling for advertisements to user guides.
A variety of summer jobs and internships
Early on, I learned that every profession is interesting in its own right and offers opportunities for personal growth. While working as a waitress, cashier, construction assistant, in a pet store, a call center, a senior citizens' home and even at the German Bundestag, I got to make fascinating experiences that still help me today whenever I have to quickly and efficiently familiarize myself with a new subject.
